Tournament for Magic players on Stars!
I created a NL tourney on stars for MTGers. It's in the Private section (30+3 next thursday). Tell every magic player you know about it. You will need a password to play. Please PM me if you are interested. I want to get as many people playing in this as possible (pros, casual players, current players, ex players, and everyone in between).

never played magic.
saw a couple of the tourneys on ESPN though....and i couldn't figure out what the hell they were doing. made absolutely no sense to me. played poker in New Orleans one time when a big Magic tourney was starting the next day at the Convention Center. i was sitting next to some guy from Norway (i think, maybe Sweden) who plays in all the major Magic tournaments and i guess is one of the better magic players. he won some euro championship in 1999 or something and claims he is annual magic income has been pretty decent. he was a pretty sub-par 3/6 LHE poker player though....he said he was really out of his element because he mostly plays Stars NL. anyway, i guess some of these magic tourneys are pretty serious stuff. having played in the lower-levels of some decent sized weekend chess tourneys i can understand the passion involved.

I or several of my friends may be interested, will definitely PM you about it, although I'm not much of a tourney player.
Incidentally, Paluka is a former Magic world champion who doesn't seem to play it much anymore. Poker seems to have become the new game of choice for many former and current Magic players like myself who don't stand much chance of money finishes in the big tournaments against those with the talent/time/preparation that is required to be successful or professional at magic.
