Default God punishes the feeble

I seriously need some support here. I had the smackdown of my life, it took about 15 minutes and here's the detailed description...
http://muhwu.blogspot.com/2005/08/wh...rious-day.html

Please someone say it's going to end - please? It seems to happen on a daily basis, I'm just new to $2/$4 so losing $250 in 15 minutes it's a bit more than I can take...

250 bucks is a 60 BB downswing. That's nothing. If you can't handle that, move down in limits. I would give my first born at the moment to only be on a 60 BB downswing, but alas, it looks like I'm going to have to make due with moving down to 1/2 6max until my head and bankroll recover.

Actually I'm down over $500 today, but this was only the climax of it after which I had to stop playing. So that's 125 BB... It's been swinging up and down and I was 2.5 BB/100 winner at 1/2 over 16k hands and i've been some thing like -1BB/100 loser over 8k hands at 2/4, this probably rockets it to -4 BB/100 or something...

i think you are a little too aggressive for the pokerstars 2/4 game. these guys don't make plays very often and they very often have what their bets and raises represent. my advice might be a little weak tight but hand 7 is unquestionably spewing

hand 1: fine
hand 2: fine (?)
hand 3: don't raise 44 utg 6-handed.
check-call turn when 4 to straight hits and 2 opponents stayed in with capped flop.
hand 4: call down turn raise, don't 3bet.
hand 5: check-call river.
hand 6: don't 3 bet flop.
hand 7: you just got limp-reraised and you are holding AJo. don't cap! don't go 3 bets on the turn when you only have a pair of jacks against a limp reraiser!
hand 8: fine
hand 9: fine
hand 10: don't whine at the table.

Wow, 600 BB downswing? Makes my 175 downswing today look like nothing.

It's partially bad luck but it's also partially your play it seems.

Hand1: Villain actually saved you a bet by betting instead of checkraising you on river
Hand2: fine (villain actually had 2 outs?)
Hand3: fine to call turn looking to make full house, but maybe fold river? call is fine also I guess with the large pot
Hand4: fine
Hand5: I would fold K9o vs PFR and 2 cold callers, even getting 7-1 preflop. Your hand is dominated too often
Hand6: fine
Hand7: You got reraised preflop and raised on the flop and on the turn. What did you think you were up against. Don't cap preflop with AJo and don't reraise turn.
Hand8: fine
Hand9: fine
Hand10: not sure I would have reraised the flop but it looks like you just wanted to get allin, so I guess fine?

Got the whiners tonight. Do you hear sthief, surf, or krishan complaining when they have a -50BB night ($1000 for them)?

If you dont like variance, poker may not be your game.
