on page 301, problem 13 of hold em for advanced players, can someone give me an example of what mathematics used here? Thanks.

Let's say you're holding KK, and for some reason you're sure that an opponent is either holding AA, AK, or QQ. Also on the board, there's a Q showing.

You now have some information on the chances that the person is holding the different hands that you put them on:

AA = 4*3/2 = 6
AK = 4*2 = 8
QQ = 3*2/2 = 3

So in this particular situation, it's still slightly more likely that the person is holding AK than AA (8/17 vs 6/17).
