I found my first arbitrage!
I was so excited. For the fight Castillo/Corrales, Pinny has Castillo as -175 and Sportsbook has Corrales at +178. OK, so it's only a 3 cent scalp, but still, money is money right? So I get some money deposited into SB and decide how much to risk on each fighter and then...
I realize tying up almost half my BR for $0.34 just wasn't worth it. Oops. |

Re: I found my first arbitrage!
unless you're clearing bonuses at the same time, a 3c moneyline scalp with no middle or side opportunity isn't gonna bring home much bacon.

Re: I found my first arbitrage!
So I've learned. At the very least, I'm figuring out what to look for.

Re: I found my first arbitrage!
I realize this may not be the greatest example to work with, but could somebody explain how to calculate the ideal betting amounts for the arbitrage. Say I have $100 to bet, would I bet $64.30 on Castillo and $35.70 on Corrales to ensure a profit of approxiametly $1.03 either way? Or would I somehow adjust my amounts to account for the fact that Castillo is more likely to win?
