tricky overpair hand
Ok... Guy on my left is lag. Earlier, he reraised me to 10xBB after I opened for 4xBB with AQo. To make the story short, I flopped TP + flush draw, and stacked him off after he called my all in with AQ (no pair).
In that hand, he CB'ed 4/5 of the pot. Effective stacks 45$... BB .5$ I have T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in MP2. MP1 opens for 2$, I call, and our friend reraises to 5$-- same as last time, me and MP1 both call. Pot 15$ MP1 seems reasonable, not sure about a preflop range though. -- Flop 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] -- MP1 checks, should I lead for 10$ here?... I'm not sure if MP3 could come over the top of me with just AK/AQ unimproved. I think I vommit if he shoves. as it went, I checked, and MP3 bet 4/5 of the pot again, giving me nothing. I decided his range was 88+, AJs+, and I'm beating most of those. I pushed. Is the 10$ lead better? |

Re: tricky overpair hand
I kinda like the checkraise here. You wanna win the pot right away and betting into a crazy lag with position maybe isnt the way, you leave him no space to operate after you push.
