AK HU
Villian is Loose and Agg Pre Flop, but not overly so after the flop.
The hand felt like a complete disaster, but I'm also in the midst of a 75BB downturn. Any comments would be appreciated. Re: AK HU
A fold on the flop, the turn, or the river are all acceptable depending on the villian.
I fold the flop. |

Re: AK HU
Villian seems to like his hand. I'm probably folding this on the turn UI, but if you can count all of your A and K outs as clean, I don't think calling here is terrible.
Do you have a 3-betting range for villian? |

Re: AK HU
Even with a capped pot pre-flop? There's almost 10 small bets before the action starts and nearly 13 when it gets back after the raise.

Re: AK HU
ok... i:
1) dont cap preflop 2) dont lead the flop 3) given action dont call the turn 4) given action dont fold the river (note: im not calling the turn because im not folding the river ui, and its costing me 2BB to see a showdown where i have likely <3 outs) |

Re: AK HU
Against an overly aggressive villain preflop the cap is fine. Don't lead the flop UI. I usually check/call the flop and fold UI on the turn.

Re: AK HU
No, I didn't have much info other than pre-flop.
I'm not sure why, but I've been running into a lot more bluffs in the PP .50 - 1.00 games over the last 3 days in these HUs situations. It has unsettled my thinking a little. I know I took a few hands too far, but did catch one for a nice payoff. This one felt lousy all the way, but I can't tell how much has to do with my downturn and how much is real. That's why I posted the hand. I think I should have folded the turn UI. |

Re: AK HU
You don't think we give our hand away by not capping this? Villian is overly aggressive pre-flop.

Re: AK HU
Yeah, dump it on the turn then.
I'm iffy about the flop lead because I think we need to 3-bet if we're going to lead out. |

Even with a capped pot pre-flop? There's almost 10 small bets before the action starts and nearly 13 when it gets back after the raise. [/ QUOTE ] I would have only capped preflop because of the read. Which is overly aggressive preflop. Now that same read says not so aggressive post flop. The villian just told me in no uncertain terms with his flop raise: "stick your 'preflop cap and continuation bet' in your poo shooter". [ QUOTE ] but if you can count all of your A and K outs as clean [/ QUOTE ] ^And to do this would be a mistake.^ |
