Default Limp reraising

I was watching the final table of a Stars double shootout.
Blinds were 50 and 100 and all nine players had about the same chip amount.

Two limpers and middle player (hero) limps. CO, seemingly aggressive, folds, and button, another seemingly aggressive player makes it 300. All call. Hero than moves all in. Button calls and everyone else folds.

Hero has pocket Queens and button has pocket Jacks. Best hand wins.

I've never seen a hand go down quite like this, but with two aggressive players to act this on the surface looked
like a very viable trapping strategy.

Comments appreciated.
