TT versus unknown
Gee don't you hate it when someone says "villian = unknown"? Well sorry, he is new to the table -- I think this is his first hand, so the only thing I know about him is that he is smart enough to wait for the blinds.

I'm out of position for a donk on the turn -- do you mean raise?

Re: TT versus unknown
I think your line is fine. It's not uncommon for BB to turn up a busted flush in this situation. Sometimes I might raise the turn though, depends on how well I know my opponent.

I'm out of position for a donk on the turn -- do you mean raise? [/ QUOTE ] im a tardo. yeah you can wait to raise and fold to a 3-bet. (note this is not a free showdown raise, there is some confusion on this forum) If he has a 6 he most likely 3-bet. he could be raising a 2, a flush draw, 2 overs, a pocket pair, or a 6 on the flop. i d wait for the big bets and a non [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] turn and raise. |

Re: TT versus unknown
My only concern about the turn raise/fold line is the idea that I will get a worse hand that would pay me another bet on fifth street to fold. I can understand this on the river, when I don't mind a worse hand folding as much.

Re: TT versus unknown
This is how I would have played it.
Then again, lately my blind battles have been against LAGs who suddenly have good hands (better than mine) that they raised as what looked like a blind steal, instead of the normal crap they've been caught raising with before. So, I've tried to back off my aggession a bit.. |
