Default Floating along with Aces.

Original raiser is tight and gives up easily. SB is a fairly tight TAG and BB is somewhat loose in the blinds. I'm wondering about every street.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, Hero calls, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (8 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds.

Final Pot: 11 BB

I can't imagine why you wouldn't 3-bet the flop.

Because I'm not used to floating and I thought it was quite likely that SB would be leading almost all turn cards letting me trap them all for a big bet on the turn.

Preflop? I think it's pretty likely that I win a 2-3BB pot if I 3-bet preflop. BB, despite his blind looseness, doesn't have a high showdown %, and SB is TAG, as is CO.

what about how many BB you lose when you allow a hand to play in the blinds that wouldn't have called your 3-bet?

it pleases shania when you call preflop here as long as you're doing it with other hands as well, though i suspect you're probably not doing it enough with other hands to mix it up properly, not that your 5/10 opponents would know much of a difference anyways.

that said, i'd raise the flop the first time, but the idea of smoothcalling rather than 3-betting the flop is a good one. that's actually a bad turn card for you believe it or not.
