Default AKo all-in

Sorry I do not have the hand history so I'll just type it in. Party $25 NL. I'm the button with AKo. 2 limpers ahead of me and I raise to $2. Both limpers call. Flop comes 8 K 6 rainbow. Both check to me and I bet 3. First limper folds and second raised to 6. I go all in.

I had not been at the table long and I wasn't sure what type of hand to put the guy on. I figured maybe a set or KQ. Is this the time to go all in or should I just call his re-raise and see how he bets on the turn?

Even if you had just called his raise on the flop, villain would only have $10 left. I don't think he's folding. No matter what he bets on the turn, he's sticking around. I'm okay with your play. Maybe he has QQ-TT and he's hoping you didn't hit the flop?

Reads would be pretty useful in this situation, but I don't like reraising all-in here. You're just giving him a chance to fold every hand you beat, (weaker king, a pocketpair, a complete bluff) and you have no fold equity against any hand that beats you. (a set, two pairs) Against a regular shortstacked partypoker donk, I don't mind going all in here with TPTK, but not in the manner that you did.
