Thrasymachus killing PokerStars Double Shootouts

I just watched this guy take down his (according to railbirds) 8th WSOP seat. I've seen him win at least 3. Is this the record for most WSOP seats?

i guess i dont understand this. im assuming they are transferrable on pokerstars? because doing this on partypoker would be downright silly.

if you win more than one on any of the sites, you just get the money.

I've never played in a Double Shootout. Could someone please explain to me how the format works?

9 tables of 9 all play down to one winner, then the 9 winners play down to one again, as opposed to shuffling players between tables during a tournament.

9 players each on 9 tables (81), Each table plays until there is a winner and then winners of each table makes the final table and the winner gets a seat.

Ya, he's definitely owning. I've seen him be down 3-1, 4-1 in chips heads up and just come back and humiliate people. He doesn't even seem to play that many of them, every time I see him he's made the final table. Weird because I hadn't heard of him before; only once the double shootouts started.

Also, I believe if you win additional seats you get $1k cash and then $10k Stars $W, which can usually be sold at 95% or so.

Please, just let me win ONE seat, LOL.
