Help me not suck
NL 50, stacks 55$.
No reads. I have T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on button. MP raises to 2$, I call, SB calls. Pot 6$ Flop T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] -- SB checks, MP bets 6$, I raise to 12$, MP calls Pot 29 Turn 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] -- MP checks, I bet 10$, MP thinks and calls Pot 48 River 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] -- MP checks, I bet 11$, MP folds Making it 16 on the flop gets me A LOT more value doesn't it? I was somewhat proud of myself for resisting the temptation to just call the flop, but I didn't get much out of him beyond the min raise. I think he would have folded the turn for much more than 10$. 16 on flop, 12 on turn after that? |

Re: Help me not suck
i don't think I'd raise here on the flop. It pushes away too many overpairs, flush draws, straight draws, and over cards. It also makes it harder for me to extract value on future streets if he doesn't have an 8.

Re: Help me not suck
can't help it if he doesn't have much of a hand.
you don't stack somebody everytime you flop a monster. |

Re: Help me not suck
Not raising the flop here is a mistake... there are shitloads of turn cards that kill my action... one of them being the 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Its just bothering me that he might have gotten away from an overpair on the river. |
