Is Pacific Poker legit?
I've played a bit at Royal Vegas using the free $10 they give you just for signing up without even having to deposit money, and I have been playing .25/.50. The people who see the flop is usually about 40% which I thought was loose, but I then was looking on Pacific Poker and the flop % was about 55% on all of the 3/6 rooms I looked at! The .25/.50 rooms had about a 65-70% of the players seeing the flop. If people play so loosely at Pacific Poker, how come I don't hear about it? What are the flop% of players seeing the flop at party poker .5/1 games and such? I even watched Pacific for a while and I don't know how one could not win on it.

Re: Is Pacific Poker legit?
Fairly common knowledge that Pacific inflates the flop %'s by including play from many hours ago in it's calculations.
For example, say a table is 3-handed for an hour, and flops seen is about 70% for 150 hands. Now the table fills up. It plays 10 handed for two hours, or about 80 hands, as it's really slow, at about 30%. We all probably agree the flops seen % should reflect the full tabled play, but in fact it will still count the 3 handed play in the calculations, so instead of 30% it'll show 50-60%. |

Re: Is Pacific Poker legit?
It's legit. The company behind it also runs one of the biggest online casinos.
You can only play one table at a time, though, which helps keep the better players (multi-tablers) out and the fish in. |
