Re: A9s near the money, small stacked...
If Megaswim has been using his big stack to raise lots of hands, trying to push the table around, then your push from the SB was correct since A9s is likely better than what he has.
But if you haven't seen him act overly aggressive, fold the A9s. His stack is so big that you have hardly any folding equity on a push. |

Re: A9s near the money, small stacked...
Its very tough to call it in that spot. But you need to figure, (remember the 10 to 1 rule) hes going to call you with any 2 cards when you move all in. So you need to make sure you most likely have a better hand. But what you need to remember here is that he did raise and from UTG+1.
Personally I would probably have folded and and waited till I had first in vigorish even with a lesser hand. But its a tough call I can see you pushing or folding here. All depends on your read. |

Re: A9s near the money, small stacked...
VERY read dependant. Feld mad a good observation with the fact that the raise came from UTG+1 - if you haven't seen him get out of line this fold is pretty standard. Also, it looks to me like you have a good button situation developing here. Fellow short stack in seat 7 and a healthy stack in the BB. I'd rather push any ace or pp from the button than call here.

Re: A9s near the money, small stacked...
you have over 12 times the big blind and you'll be on the button next hand I would fold and never push in this situation. However, if doubling up in this spot (even as a probable dog) is your best shot at making the money then do so.
