Set on Uncoordinated Board
No reads. I just called the flop since I do not want to chase out the people behind me on an almost drawless board. I felt like calling and then coming over the top of Button would define my hand too quickly and easily.
Would you raise the first bet on the flop? Re-raise the button? Would you bet the turn? Was the check-raise too much? I felt if I made it less it wouldn't matter much anyway since we'd both be committed so I just shoved right there. Re: Set on Uncoordinated Board
i think flat calling the flop 2x is fine, as you are nearly 99% sure of having the best hand- and not many 'scare cards' can hit to slow down opponents betting TP.
leading the turn might be more deceptive. perhaps a C/min-raise may have faired better than a push? (but i think thats too results-oriented) |
