Default First time to the Casinos / Advice Needed, please! (5/10L, NL)

All,

Heading out to Resorts East Chicago

Backgorund: I typically play 1/2 NL and 2/4 L on party and uB

Question: I am making my first trip to the casino in a LONG, LONG while. I was looking for some advice on how the 5/10 games are played?

Can someone offer advice on how to beat either the 5/10 L or any of the NL tables? I have head these games are notoriously loose passive. Does this still hold true?

Thanks.

5/10 casino poker is a lot easier than 2/4 online - it's like .50/1 (I don't play NL).

You will probably see some crazy stuff (i.e. capped preflop checked to river, lots of string bets/raises, sunglasses, etc.) - play normal 2/4 poker and you'll crush the game. And have fun.

You will also notice that passive play is the overwhelming flavour at 5/10.

Just have a good time, and remember that it's not as profitable as online.

The 5/10NL is donktacular. Do Not Bluff! You better have a hand because no one can lay down even bottom pair.

Typical action goes like this:

UTG limps
fold
EP raise to $50
call
call
call
call

flop

check
EP bets $100-$200
fold
fold
fold
call

turn
check
check

river
check
all-in
call

TPNK beats busted straight draw with bottom pr

Enjoy your time.

Less hands per hour. All the casinos I've been to don't let you sit at more than one table at a time.
