Default Mirage next weekend - how\'s the 10/20?

I'll be at the Mirage Oct. 14-16 on the poker rate, planning on putting a lot of hours in. I normally play (and beat) 6/12 in the LA casinos - I'm a very solid player, but I don't have a lot of mid-limit experience. Will the 10/20 be a problem for me? Is it more pros or more tourists? How's the rake (or is it a time charge)? Same questions also apply for the 6/12; is it any harder than the same game at Commerce or Hollywood Park?

Thanks for the info guys - I totally trust your judgment.

The competition will be about the same. If you can handle the 6/12, you'll do fine at the 10/20. Btw, it's not all "pros". Just cuz they're locals, doesn't mean they're pros. You'll get several tourists in there to gamble too.

If you like beating up on a rock garden, go during the early afternoons. Man I love watching the tight nits get all pissy when people "stealing their blinds" LOL.

I'm not worried about "locals" - I can handle them. I just heard from someone (less than reliable) that the 10/20 has a lot of full-time pros, and I don't know if I really want to deal with that given that I usually drink while playing in Vegas.

Is the game raked, or is there a time charge?

Raked. Most of the time charges start at 30/60. As for full time pros, most of them start at that level as well.

this game is not tough at all, its mostly weak tight regulars mixed in with some random tourists. you will very rarely see a good TAG. as far as there being alot of "pros" in this game, thats complete BS.

Photoc,

some of the locals in Vegas cardrooms are usually the worst players. For some reason they all act so pompous because they're on a first name basis with the dealers and floorstaff.
