Three bet JTo on 872 board... 30/60 pokerstars
This hand has been bothering me a bit today. I dont know if anyone finds it intresting or if it's horrible or basic, but would like to hear some comments.
4 handed on pokerstars, I have feeling that villain has been trying to run over me and Ive gave him credit couple of times and folded.... Folded to me on SB and I raise J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] opponent calls. Flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet opponen raises and I three bet.... Opponent calls Thought I could maybe take the pot away on turn and I have some outs anyway. Turn 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Bet-call. River 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet - opponent raises, what's my move? |

Do you think the chance of flush is so big that three bet is a bad move compared to possibility of opponent having pair(s) or smaller straight?

In general yes, because the flush will just about always 4 bet you, and hands worse than yours will generally call. You really don't want this river to get capped IMO, as villians play is very consistent with a flush draw. Am i saying he never has 56, two pair, etc..., no of course he will have those a decent percentage of the time. But i still call here. This is also where you personal reads are going to become important thought, as it can sway the decision one way or the other.
