Default classy response by pokerroom regarding freeroll fiasco

i was quite bothered by this situation.
they didn't post anything on their lobby-page or their web-site regarding the saturday freeroll problems.
having to wait a couple of days for them to do something is a bit goofy imo....but a $22 tourney entry is VERY encouraging.
i was only expecting a replacement freeroll entry.

it took you a little while pokerroom....but i am definately satisfied with your response to this situation.
this could go a long way towards keeping my business.

now, if only you guys could address those pesky little software issues.

-----------

Please accept our apologies

Hi,

Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience associated with the Player Points Freeroll on Saturday. Due to certain technical problems the tournament started with every player receiving 15 instead of 1,500 in chips.
This error forced us to freeze the tournament.
The tournament restarted eventually, but we fully recognize that some players were not able to contend at the restart.
As compensation a tournament ticket for a $20+2 tournament is now available to you on My Account.
You can use it to enter any of our daily $10,000 Guaranteed tournaments.

Please be assured that changes have been made to prevent this from happening again and we look forward to seeing you at future tournaments.

PokerRoom has really gotten their act together when it comes to customer service. They added phone support which was a must a couple months ago and seem much less arrogant then they used to be.They are making big money off the zillions of micro-limit games they have up.
Too bad the software is still not too hot.
I dont think you can complain about getting $20 back from a botched tourney..

sorry....but i was NOT the first to complain about a malfunctioning freeroll....
in fact, i wasn't even the first one to complain about this SPECIFIC freeroll (i read some posts on another forum that from some rather pissed-off individuals).

here's a hint....i had to accumulate 500 bonus-points to qualify for the tournament....so it wasn't really THAT free.
i also made specific plans to show up for this tournament when it was scheduled only to find it wasn't operating.

here's another hint - pokerroom sent me this e-mail out of the blue. i did not contact them at all.
when the freeroll wasn't working i just left.
i was expecting to get another freeroll entry as reimbursement....the fact that they went above and beyond with this kind of reimbursement was very good customer service imo.

anyway....they certainly weren't paying me to shut up since i never said anything to them in the first place.

i do not live in orange mound.

sign up through cardplayer.com for a 40% up to $200 bonus (deposit $500 to get $200) which is better than the standard 20% offered most places.

there was also a reload of 15% up to $150 (deposit $1k) but you missed out on that (it expired on June 24)

i finished the initial-depo bonus and have started working on the reload bonus-dollars.

software is a bit sketchy and i've had a few disconnects.
but their customer service is VERY SOLID as evidenced by this situation.

i also got disconnected from a $22 tourney a couple weeks ago and their phone-support was very friendly and helpful.

Hint: It's NOT free. It's a service the site offers, paid for by the players on that site via rake and other fees, and it's a service that makes players play there. Without it and other simliar services/bonuses, players would go elsewhere.
