Stars 16 turbo QQ on an AAAK board
Real early in Stars $15+1 Turbo. Blinds 10/20, all 9 players left around 1500 chips.
UTG makes it 60, two folds, Hero makes it 180 with QQ, suits unimportant. All fold back to UTG who calls. FLOP A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (390) UTG checks, I bet 1/2 pot, he calls. TURN K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG Pushes. Hero? His line makes very little sense to me. |

Re: Stars 16 turbo QQ on an AAAK board
hm.. i think i might be scared here..
what could he call the turn bet with? i would think only a pp ,A, or Kx hoping to take it with high card.. so there is a chance u are beat... with the call of 3x the bb preflop i think i may have to lay this down here... |

Re: Stars 16 turbo QQ on an AAAK board
I dont like his line no matter what cards he holds. However I think I would fold this to the push. He might have a lower pair but the check/call push makes me think he has the case A or just turned Aces full of Kings and decided he is not folding to a bet so he just pushes. At the $15+1 on stars I saw check/call push with the nuts somewhat frequently. Just my opinion and I might be wrong.

CALL - His bet makes no sense whatsoever. If he has a K why push.

Also wanted to mention that at the $16's, strange all ins are usualy bluffs, write that down. Unless you are playing me of course

Re: Stars 16 turbo QQ on an AAAK board
I don't understand why everyone feels like a call here? Regardless of how unorthadox his play seems, it still is only round 1 blinds, and you have only invested 500 chips. His play smells like a case A, hoping you caught your K. But more than likely he show something like KQ, maybe even J's or T's. Regardless, I think 1k chips is more than enough to hold on. It is soo early in the SNG that a quick double up really has no bearing yet.
