Borgata\'s expansion?
I tried getting an answer out of a hotel checkin girl but no answer. I'm curious as to what their expansion has in store for us.

[/ QUOTE ] from my source who is an employee at the casino (not a dealer), she says a new tower with a ton of new rooms, a top end penthouse spa, and more casino space. So basically, borgata is gonna blow every other casino in AC outta the water in the next 2 years. |

Re: Borgata\'s expansion?
Boyd Gaming updated their Borg expansion plans when they renewed their AC casino license a few weeks ago.
http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix....amp;highlight= the "public space" expansion comes first, 2Q 2006. added gaming space (incl. poker), nightclubs and restaurants. the new tower is scheduled for 4Q 2007. it's still in the planning stage and construction (obviously) has not started yet. another 800 rooms which will bring the total to just under 3000. Showboat HOB will probably start siphoning business from the Taj slowly until Borg kicks up next year. the Trop can try and get more competitive as well, and maybe even Bally's/Caesars will figure out how to deal poker properly, to take advantage of their centralized location on the boardwalk. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was at Bally's on Saturday and they had maybe 4 poker games going out of about 15 tables. They had a lot of dealers just sitting around at empty tables. I think they are having problems in general though as Wild West was definitely the least crowded of all the casinos I was in. |

Re: Borgata\'s expansion?
Bally's is the only one of all the casinos that I think can compete with Borgata IF THEY CHOSE TOO.
I can't wait to visit the Showboat next week.. I predict that will start rocking very shortly as people scramble from the Taj. Taj has been taking advantage of people for years because they've been pretty much the only game in town.. It's time to stick it to those filthy bastards. |
