Too Reckless Preflop with KQo?
Preflop, MP2 is a pathological lag; plays about 50% of the hands, and, of those, he minraises about half and raises about a quarter. But he's pretty passive postflop. MP1 is basically a calling station--loose and passive, in about 40% of the flops. MP3 is tight and passive; in about 10% of hands, no raises yet in 70 hands. CO is another calling station.
KQ is a trouble hand for me, and I really don't want to play it multiway. Therefore, I did the following. All comments appreciated. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed) converter UTG+1 ($30.94) UTG+2 ($49.50) MP1 ($59.35) MP2 ($29.16) MP3 ($29.91) CO ($50.20) Button ($21.55) SB ($83.31) Hero ($49.10) UTG ($29.83) Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25. <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.50, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $1</font>, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5.5</font>, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $5, MP3 folds, CO folds. I vote yes, too reckless preflop. If you don't want to play it multi-way, just fold to that PFMR. As played, nice flop bet. Looks goot.

Re: Too Reckless Preflop with KQo?
Reraising three people out of position with a marginal hand seems like a bad idea. If it's a trouble hand for you, just fold it here.
Personally, I'd fold this UTG and EP, and certainly fold in the BB to a raise. |

Re: Too Reckless Preflop with KQo?
Looks fine to me, but what would you have done if one or two of the other limpers called?
The way it played out, I think your hand is good here - AK would have re-raised pre-flop (unless these guys are REALLY passive). Just price out those flush draws. |
