Home Game..Playing $5 ante no blind...pot limit

Im in the SB position with AcJd I lead out for $10

Good player in dealer position cold calls all else fold

Flop 4dAdkh

I check..he checks

Turn Js

I bet $10..he calls

River 10d

I bet $10..he raises $40..your play?

Check the river. Yes, 2 pair is a good hand. But when a 4 straight and 3 flush appear on the river, it's not that good. If you want to bet, at least represent a decent hand. That $10 screams weakness, and I'm likely raising any 2.

Since you bet, fold to the raise. He played it like a draw, any conceivable draw has made it, he raised when it got there, now's the time to muck.

You didn't say how many palyers - AJ needs a bit more pre flop and you must bet the pot on the flop. You have to make it painful for a draw here.

Now if you can't stomach that sort of play then move to limit.

Or dont play that hand in from SB (thou it depends on the number of players, as former poster said).
