Why not? Unless I have a strong read this is almost always a standard 3-bet.

There are 3 lines here.

3 bet, see where villain stands. If he caps and leads you are in trouble.
Call down to the river.
Pop the turn and fold to a 3bet there.

I like the last line, but I'm sloppy in situations like this.

I'll often 3bet this, however, we've got good position to call and raise the turn, giving us a better shot to protect our hand in what is shaping up to be a big pot.

I usually call and raise him on the turn in such a situation. You are pretty safe, and if you get 3 bet on the turn its probably dump time unless you improved.

I'd call the flop and raise the turn.

You're probably good where your opponent has a weaker King than you. If the BB is happy in calling a raise with KX then he'll probably pay you off on the turn and river.

If he 3-bets your turn raise however then you have to call down or even dump your hand.

why arent u 3betting this? Not having a go, just wondering about what you are thinking.

The way i see it- Its a very dry flop, villain will be raising a weaker king nearly always. I really think you could do whatever you like on this board, this is perfect for KQ. 3bet the flop or raise the turn, i think you will get payed off all the way vs most players.

I'm in the "use your position to bend him over on the turn" crowd.

My standard play is to call down then raise the river.
