How would you play that hand?
I'm new to the table so I dont know any player.
1$/2$ 6handed table on GamingClubPoker. I'm UTG with 200$, I get dealt ThTc. I raise to 6$ Button call (he has 63$ left) and BB call.(he has me covered) Flop : 5s9sTd (Pot 19$) I bet 15$, Button call, BB fold. Turn : 7s What would you do now? Ill post later how I played that hand. |

Re: How would you play that hand?
Lead out again on the turn. I'd say about 1/3-1/2 the size of the pot. If you get minraised, call and hope to fill up on the river then push, slow down against a call and try to get a cheap showdown, and against any huge overbet, fold. I think that putting out the 1/3-1/2 pot sized blocking bet is key here in this situation, otherwise you're just asking to get bluffed at.

Re: How would you play that hand?
On the turn, after the 15$ bet on the flop, the remaining player has only 48$ and the pot is 49$. So an overbet is impossible...

Re: How would you play that hand?
Whoops. That changes things a bit. In that case. I say that you just put him all in. If he for some reason decided to play J8 for a raise and just made a straight, he may be scared by the flush. However, If he made the flush, it's a bad idea to give him any folding equity. It's ~$50 pot and he's only got aobut ~$45. Put him all in and if he has the high flush, he'll call, but you've still got outs. If you're up against a baby flush or a straight, you may be able to get him to lay down his hand. If the stacks were bigger, I'd say that the blocking bet method is best, however in this case, I say put him all in. If he calls and it comes out for the worse, at least it's good advertising value.
