Default bonehead question - do any states allow under-21 gambling?

is it a federal standard that all states do not allow casino play to under-21s?

What about native american reservations? Can under 21-s play in any specific states/on any native american reservations?

Just wondering and couldn't find a definitive answer by Googling.

Thanks in advance,
Pete Harris

Any Indian Casino I've ever been to has been 18+. I think it's the standard for gambling on native reserves.

thanks a million, man. I'm doing my dissertation and it occured to me not to be quick to assume 21+ is the standard.

Cheers!

Unfortunately I havn't made it to foxwoods yet so I didn't know there. Why are they different from the standard ones on the native reserve? Is it because of the size? I've only been to smaller Indian Casinos.

All the casinos in AZ are 21+, they used to be 18+ but they started serving alcohol so they had to make it 21.

Since Foxwoods is 21 this obviously it's obviously not 18 for all Indian Casinos.

I think it's up to the individual casino but am not sure.

I believe that others have mentioned that Turning Stone, NY is also 18.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if some of the Michigan Indian casinos (Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant and the Kewadin casinos in the upper-peninsula) were 18 but I'm not positive on those.

I'm not positive about Kewadin, but Soaring Eagle is my local cardroom and luckily for me (I'm 18) they have an 18 and up policy.

You can be 18 in MN and gamble at any casino in the state, because being a bleeding heart liberal state rocks.
