Default David Ross wannabe...

Online 5/10

Extremely loose and lousy player (LL) raises UTG, another loose player cold calls and I 'smooth call' with 54 [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img], BB completes, 4 to the flop.

Flop: 6s 3h 7c

Check, bet, fold, call, call.

Turn: Ah, yes let's get some action

check, bet, raise, raise, call, cap, call, call.

River: Td

check, bet, raise, call, raise - ups - call, call.

Online, with a four bet cap, I am going to play him for a set of Aces, and take the last raise. At least I can't be reraised again. If I lose, then I will never coldcall with 54 suited ever again. I mean really, he can't believe that I have this can he?

I'm not sure what your question is, here.

Preflop: You called 2 bets cold with 54s. Yuck. I don't care how bad the raiser was.

Flop: Your miracle flop, and you just called? It's not like you are going to lose the caller if you raise.

Turn: A safe card. All that raising makes you happy. Pray the board doesn't pair.

River: Now you lose to 89 only. Could that have gotten here? Maybe. I could see 89h thinking his double draw to be worth all those raises on the turn.

I predict you and AA lost to 89h.

How is calling 2 bets cold with 54s a smooth call? I don't really understand.

We've been chastising (is that how it's spelled?) David for coldcalling with suited connectors and baby pairs, so I just wanted to try what it's like.

LL shows 98o for the rivered str8, the other guy shows 63s for flopped two pair. I guess that with these guys coldcalling with 54s can't be a bad mistake if any

Anyway, it was fun trying, but I think only David can pull this of successfully, so I promise you all to fold next time.
