middle pair vs big field
Another 2+2er sent me this hand to review and I had a tough time giving advice so I am posting it here for some help.
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (5 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) SB bets, Hero raises, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls. Turn: (7.50 BB) K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img](5 players) SB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls. River: (12.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets, Button folds, SB folds, Hero calls, MP folds. |

I would check the turn and either call or fold depending on the action and the pot size.

sometimes I just fold this flop depending on the SB. But given that we've raised flop, I check the turn. Sure the 3 cold-callers could all be on draws but it is highly likely at least one of them has a 9 or better. I check the turn, and likely fold/possibly call depending on the action. I'm torn on the river...I think I'd probably fold even though all the draws missed. CO would have to be pretty aggro to bluff bet the river after all the turn callers. I think it is much more likely that CO paired up his spade draw or rivered 2-pair.
