Any good tricks to become an Empire VIP member?
I've been trying to play a little every day, but that's all I can think to do. I know some players have been granted VIP status w/ only a few hundred points, instead of 5K. Are there any tricks, or is it just random luck?

Mine seemed to be random.

I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but I emailed them saying I want to be a VIP and knew people that had been bumped. I was bumped at the beginning of the following month; I did however play slightly more than normal at Empire during that month, but not much.

In my case I didn't play for like a month, then came back and put in 8 hours a day 4-tabling for a week. That did the trick, bumped from less than 1k to VIP.

What's this VIP thang? What are the advantages and requirements?

Re: Any good tricks to become an Empire VIP member?
Im closing in on 1000 points and no bump yet. My pet theory is that you get bumped after a specific amount of total rake generated. I doubt they have an arbitrary system but I guess they might add something like x amount/x days as well. Id be interested in knowing approx how much rake those who have been bumped generated.
Now they rub it in my face that im not VIP every time I log in... |

Re: Any good tricks to become an Empire VIP member?
I played a bunch of hours in a short period of time at reasonable limts 5-10 shortly after signing up and they bumped me up early. I’d recommend sending them a polite email saying friend recently got bumped and had good things to say about the site, and you’re looking to play a lot more hands there. Then start playing a lot at reasonable limits. The benefits are not that great. Some freerolls and points for books/sweatshirts or cash. I’ve played about 5 months at 20+ hr week at maybe an average of 3-6 or so and have earned about $60 in VIP value. --Greg |
