Default 54s

$15 rebuy on Paradise, blinds 600/1200/100. I have T14K in SB, average is about T20K, 48 players left 20 places pay. 2nd position limps, button miniraises. I have 54s in SB. Should I call or fold?

Fold.

I don't much care to reraise with 45s, and I really don't like playing it out of position. Plus, you've got the "free" round coming up, you'll find a better spot.

2 to act behind you, and the miniraise could be basically anything...patience...

IF you were closing the action, then this might not be a bad call here, as it sounds like the min-raiser has a big pocket pair, and you have some good implied odds if you hit.

BUT, you have two major things working against you. First, two people are left to act, and 1800 to call here is more than 10% of your stack. =/

Fold.

I folded. The miniraiser had KK and and the flop came 544. Oh well.

I don't like the miniraiser's play at all. I would raise 3-4 x pot to make it look like you were making an effort to pick up the pot and to get it heads up.

The flop could have been K55 too.

If limper has limped before and then folded to a push and minraiser has minraised before and folded to a push a Push is good. A call can't be good because you don't have implied pot odds, unless you're willing to go all in without two pair or better. Push or Fold, calling is terrible. Comes down to reads, especially if the Villains are Tight (Push) or Loose (Fold).

I probably call from the BB, fold from the SB. If I am closing the action, even better. Your stack is too small and you are too out of position to outplay much postflop.
