Default Self-control

When it comes to eating, I have no self-control. I eat a lot and I hate it. I'm not fat by any means (5'11, 155) but there's some vanity pounds I'd like to drop. I do exercise, but I just eat too much.

Does anyone have any tips to stop eating when you're not hungry?

First thing, is be honest with yourself. Are you really 5'11, 155?

Yeah, I weighed myself at the gym today. That's not what I'm concerned about though. It's the little bit of chub covering up my abs.

This post is serious then? You are 5'11, 155, and think you have self control problems when it comes to eating?

If thats true, then you also probably have a metabolism off the charts.

Yeah, probably. But I still eat too much junk food and that's unhealthy. Also, that chub is annoying.

Don't stop eating, just eat healthy snack foods.
Munch on fruits. I find they're awesome snack foods. Tasty yet healthy.

I disagree: I am 5'8" @150lbs and have a bit of a belly going right now. I'm usually fairly muscular for my height, too, but there hasn't been a ski season around here (which is my primary winter exercise).

I, too, eat a little too much, IMO- i'm cooking a frozen pizza right now as a dessert to my usual ten beer dinner.... I do have a fast metabolisim, but nothing, IMO, 'of the charts'. To keep from over eating, i usually just skip breakfast, which, while it isn't the haelthiest option, seems to do the trick.

who knows, i geuss?
