Re: A6o
The pot is relatively small and I will likely be required to put a lot of money (size relative to the current pot) in to see a showdown. Other than top pair weak kicker, I have just a backdoor draw to a one card straight and no reads, I think I fold. I expect to have kicker troubles (even though I know my kicker will play this hand unless the 4/5 pairs)

Ugh. When things get overlycomplicated like this, it's probably best to just fold.

Re: A6o
Why would you call this? The backdoor straight isn't worth enough, and you're probably drawing to 3 outs. Even if you aren't drawing to 3 outs you have reverse implied odds as the raiser has to be on some kind of flush or straight draw. There are lots of ways to lose this, the pot is small, and you are probably not winning right now anyway.
This is an easy fold, IMO |

Fold. Why not bet out on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Because you have a weak hand against 6 players. How often does ace no kicker win a 6 handed pot? Because you want to see the action before you commit your chips to this pot. I really think this is straightforward, and I'm surprised that this is up for debate at all. A6o, when the flop has a flush draw and a straight draw, does not have what it takes to win 6 handed. |

Fold. Why not bet out on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Because about the only way you would want to continue with this hand is to check/raise a late flop bettor. Vern Standard Disclaimer, I am by no means an expert at any of this. |

Fold. [/ QUOTE ] Yah, I agree. This fold should be pretty easy. [ QUOTE ] Why not bet out on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] I tend to mix it up, but often will check here to 1. Get away cheap in situations like this. 2. c/r a late position bet if it will help limit the field. Thoughts? Or is betting this flop into a field of 6 the best default line? |
