Default correct vpip

I just bought Pt, and am wondering what my vpip should be at a 6max table (1/2)...
It is at 32.0, when I am full ring it is 26.0
What are good numbers here for solid 2+2rs?
thanks
chris

32 is way too high, especially for a newbie 6-maxer. I'd aim to drop that down to around 20, then as you get more comfortable you can start to add more hands. The most experienced, looser plays tend to cap out at around 30 with a preflop raise of 20. I myself have leveled out around 27/18

take JrJordan's advice, 32 is way to high unless you are expert postflop...if you are new to 6-max online specifically, aim for a VPIP in the low 20s. You can probably add hands and notch that up to the mid 20-high 20s after getting comfortable playing 6-max for a while. If you aren't new to 6-max, then most people tend to have a VPIP around 23-30, and PFR around 17-21. I'm at about 25/19. Your full ring VPIP, assuming you don't play short at full tables, is probably way to high. 26, even for expert postflop players, is probably pushing it a bit at a full table.

25+ is fine you should be limping a lot since everyone else will be.

Trim a bit of fat but dont worry about it too much.

Dont worry too much about VPIP at this level just worry about playing well postflop.

I'd say 21/16 is a VPIP that you can beat the game with. If you are very good you can crush te game playing 30/20

this should be disregarded. pots are not multiway enough (it is 6ma).

overlimping on the button is ok but you wont encounter this too often to affect vpip more than-i would estimate-1.5-2%.

You either have never played 1/2 6max or the games have changed a lot.

From memory there are a lot of 4-5 way pots which means you can limp UTG with low PPs and medium suited connectors. You can also limp in MP and late position with these sort of hands.

Obviously it depends on the table but yes you can do this provided you are good postflop.

Just be aware of the game dynamics.

Extremely unlikely that you could achieve anywhere near 30 vpip using sshe charts.

My experince is that yes you can limp more profitablly in 1/2, but I agree that your advice is probably not helpfull to someone with the OPs level of experience.
