Default interesting 10-20nl stars

So this is about ten orbits in, no solid reads and im not a regular at this game. The button has been opening consistently and I have been defending with weak hands and checkraised the flop with air on one occasion, taking it down. I led knowing i might be raised and planning to play back representing trips or the boat. Whats my play after my opponent raises the flop? What should my plan be for the turn?
Thanks,
RDW

Check raising the turn all in would tempt me. If he checks behind, free card yay!

I suggest leading for a real # so you can shove

That's what I was thinking. I don't think lead/pushing the flop looks as strong as waiting for the turn. Plus, you might get your free card.

I don't like the option of either check-raising the turn or betting bigger on the flop given the history with the oppenant and the player. Betting 200 on the flop and 3-betting is a valid play occassionally, but I feel you can probably gain more equity some other way.

That flop raise could mean a number of things given your history with oppenant, although it isn't part of that flop. Whatever it is, it seems weak enough that he may not bet turn when checked to and he may not be able to stand 2 big bets with. There is a decent chance you see AQ/AK here as well.

Why not just call the min-raise and play poker? Lead turn for 400 regardless of turn card, except if it's your jack or maybe an A. You should be able to figure out your river play from this turn play.

Good to see you playing again.

I fold, things could get ugly on the turn

that flop bet blows; this is a bad board to represent trips/boat because most wouldn't play it so fast. I like the check/call, check-raise all in on turn play with this - looks a lot closer to trips and if you get called you have outs.

Why not check-raise the flop? It's a stronger play than leading out. I can see him raising your bet with just about any two cards, figuring you for a small overpair, similar weak holding or a bluff.

It'd be difficult to represent the trips or full house since most players would expect you to check one of these hands, particularly when facing a probable steal attempt.

You all are weak. Raise him all in and take away his positional advatage. Remember the saying...hes got to call you and then hes got to beat you...
