I go with paper. Rock seems to be the most common first throw so it seems like a good idea. Lets just hope my opponent doesn't know that I know that unless I know that he knows that I know...and so on...

I went with scissors, because a lot of people will imagine rock is what the other guy is most likely to go for and consequently will go with paper.

I guess it depends on who you're playing. If it's a random citizen I think I'd go paper due to thinking rock is most popular. Now if it's a 2+2er I would think we're easily into the 3rd or 4th level. You say you'd pick scissors, due to me probably picking paper to cover rock. I'd know this, though, and think to actually pick rock. You'd know this and pick paper. I'd pick scissors and be done with it there, heh.

I usually just pick Uzi and the game is over.

I was actually at the Borg new years weekend and they were showing the rock paper scissors championship on the TVs. It was quite absurd.

If you're a real pro, you employ one of the three winning strategies we use at home:

The "toolbox", or "scissors gambit": every throw is scissors.
"Public stoning": every throw is rock
"Throw paper every time": every throw is paper

If you can get into someone's head enough that you win with one of these, consider it a victory.

EDIT: Of course, we're talking about best of 3 or best of 5 matches here.

It's for real. I finished somewhere in the top 200. A couple of my friends made it into the top 64, but their superior anayltical skills are frightening.
