Re: what about tells?
Tells, hmm.
In terms of revealing tells, best to try and always act the same when you play. Try to be aware of yourself.
If you're doing tourneys, tells become important as you progress. You tend to get better players towards the end, who will be paying attention. You can use this to your advantage if you are self-aware. You can throw out tells with good hands against player X (if they fold you show in this instance for the later setup), and then throw out the same tells when you're bluffin against the same player later on, for example. Usually though, less-is-more with late tourney play, and best to try to always play every hand you do go ahead with the same way.
Others tells - sit at the end of the table, if you can - you get a better view of other players without moving your head. Watch em on the deal, and the flop, before you look at your own cards. This can be hard work, but sometimes it pays, some people pull a raised eyebrows when high pair, for example. This is hard-going though.
Look for the Mike Caro site - he has videos you can download on all this.
