All in, a caller, and an idiot....
Just curious to see what you guys think of this...
Home game, $20NL, .25/50 blinds. Down to 5 players UTG has about $25 MP1 has about $40 MP2 has about $40 The table is more maniac than I've ever seen it. About 20 minutes ago UTG and MP1 both lost about 2 buyins each on a hand where ALL 3 players had fullhouses. UTG is on wild monkey tilt, and generally very aggressive regardless. He has been raising huge preflop (on the order of 8BB everytime). MP1 is known to make awful all-in calls. I've seen him call all-ins with King high flushes on 4-flush boards, preflop all-ins with 77 against rocks, and even all-in calls with KQo against an EP all-in push preflop. MP2 is generally an honest player, but gets greedy with big pots and will call a big all-in with hands like AQ/etc. Here's the action: UTG raises all-in preflop for $25 MP1 goes into the tank for a few minutes, and finally calls. MP2 shows me his cards... A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and asks what to do. I obviously refuse to help, but to me this is a pretty easy fold, right? Possible holdings for the other 2 would be something like pocket-anything, along with AA,AK,KK,QQ,AQ,maybe AJ... I'm pretty sure AJ is looking pretty awful here against most holdings. Twodimes says: 77 - 58% AQs - 33.85% AJs - 22.7% Against 2 pocket pairs, AJs is about 40% to win. As MP2, would you call a $25 bet into a $50 pot with these maniacs? I personally would have folded, given that the jack is such a weak kicker. |
