Default Addiction

Wow, got a long e-mail from a friend who is concerned that I am addicted to poker. She says I am on a downward spiral, etc. Yeah I've spent alot - a hell of alot - of time over the past few months reading poker books/articles and playing online. I have a winning BB/100 but negative moneywise because the few times (early on) that I went up to higher limits.

I thought I was putting in 110% to learn the game. But maybe I am addicted. I can't tell the difference.

First, take a week off.
Second, take fewer shots and prove yourself over a long period of time at a lower limit.

This is a really good recent post worth reading. I know you didn't mention going pro, but it's about keep your life in balance while you continue to play.
