Raising 9,9 or 10,10 from the blinds in low limit according to SSHE
I just finished reading through SSHE and was just wondering if anybody else here had read it and if so they could offer their imput to my question:
Do you raise with 99, 10 10 and similar hands from the small and big blinds with 6 people in the pot already as the book suggests to? You know that they will call so is this raised based purely on pot equity? |

Re: Raising 9,9 or 10,10 from the blinds in low limit according to SSHE
Absolutely....by doing so, you are also allowing yourself to profitably check-call on the flop if it is not favorable. Also, I think you'll find that many times that if you raise out of the blinds and subsequently check the flop, you'll often buy a free card on the flop as ppl may think you're slowplaying a set.
Best of luck! |

Re: Raising 9,9 or 10,10 from the blinds in low limit according to SS
That makes a lot of sense and is whatIve done in the past
Poker is just so strange compared to anything else we do in that people are often rewarded for making bad moves and punished for making good ones On the surface many people have told me its hard enough to win with a milti-way pot with AA let alone 99 but I think this is definately the way to go long term I think that SSHE is an excellent book and has really helped me with my post flop play |
