So I'm getting settled in up here in WA, and just minutes ago opened my very first round of mail getting forwarded. The first thing I see is an official Jury Service summons from Los Angeles Superior Court. Sweet.

Just call them and say you are no longer a CA resident.
If you want to gamble you might get called for the next media trial. |

Question: If I had recieved this notice 2 weeks ago, would they have accepted "I'm about to no longer be a resident of Los Angeles County?" Or would I have been required to put my move on hold in order to serve?

Jury duty is incredibly easy to get out of. They'll let you off with excuses as weak as "my boss isn't going to pay me for the time off and I can't afford it."
