Default Does Donkbetting Serve Any Purpose?

Just sat down.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP1 checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero calls, MP1 folds.

Call and evaluate?

Turn: (3 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets...

Flushdraw maybe. I would bet a non flush river.

I dunno. Seems like it's likely to induce an A just to call you down.

I like it a little better when a scare card hits. I'm not sure how much folding equity you have on this harmless card. And if you check the river, he's certain to bet, I feel.

if opp's vpip is low enough that you can infer that he would not limp Ax, then this play is super. also, if opps pfr % is >10 then you can infer that he would be likely to raise almost any A. additionally, given opps position he ought be more inclined to raise any a rather than call.

flop c/r is also a possiblility though holding the Kd you can withstand a turn raise should a 3rd d come.

me likey.

Why not check raise the flop?

I'd bet this flop a lot in an unraised pot like this. Is that bad? I figure that SB most likely has no ace, and the possibility the two left has an ace isn't huge when you consider the hands that probably would raise, especially with two somewhat late position limpers. MP1 would probably raise down to lower aces and CO would probably isolate MP1 with a lot of lower aces.

I got a idea that donk betting would be cheaper. Checkraising is probably the best play though.
