Default Negreanu\'s players profile

On Harman:
"Best game: Limit Hold'em (her chapter in Super System 2 on limit hold'em is already being considered revolutionary in some circles) "
revolutionary? I am missing something?

Link to DN's player profile, which is otherwise interesting.

daniel is a co-author of SS2, so perhaps you might ponder whether he has a personal financial interest in its success?

not to mention those two are very close, and we all know what he thinks of sklansky's material.

what's funny is that much of her chapter reads like a cliff's notes version of HEFAP.

I read that chapter. yeah, it was ok, and pretty resonant with where I'm currently at in my game development, but I could hardly claim to have read anything in that chapter that I hadn't already read in HEFAP.

Maybe it's revolutionary in the sense that it managed to get Daniel to read and acknowledge basic Sklansky theory.

What's the story here? Perhaps I am behind the curve, but I've never heard anything relating the two. Anyone have alink to where some of this might be located so I could check it out?

Not much of a story. Daniel and Jen Harman are good friends. Danny-boy isn't a big fan of Sklanski.

Not much else to say.

Where has he publicly stated this, and what are his reasons. Is there an article/ old post on this somewhere?

Well, he does recommend his books to those who want to learn the game:

Daniel Negreanu, who at 23 became the youngest world champion. "The key is to learn the fundamentals. Read anything by David Sklansky

It was after reading (and being disappointed by) Hellmuth's book that I read this item and decided I needed to read some two plus two books and try to learn at this forum. Daniel made me a Sklansky follower.

Thing is DN isprobably making a few millions a year out of poker. Don't think SS2 is too important to him as far as his finance are concerned...
