Your chips / (blinds + antes) = M

Your stack is 1500, blinds 50/100 no ante

1500 / (100+50) = M of 10

in simpler terms, it's the amountof times the button will pass you before you are ante'd to death (assuming you never play a pot and never win any pots)

In tournament poker:
M is how many rounds you can last for...the ratio of your stack size, to, blinds plus antes. Tells you when you need to push.

Q's how you're doing, related to other tournament players. It's the ratio of your stack, to, the average stack. Tells you how tight you should play.

In Bond movies:
M is the bloke, or more recently shiela, in charge of 007...and Q...'s the bloke who equips him with all the toys!

With the popularity of poker, I wonder if Piers Brosnan will rake Texas Hold'em pots in the next one, rather than bring down the house in blackjack or spin-the-wheel.
