Default losing your opponents in shorthanded

wonder if anyone else has this experience in shorthanded.

i play 5 way on a moderately popular site... will be switching soon to high traffic, pokertracker-enabled site.

anyhow, i find when i play aggressively at shorthanded, eventually the other players adjust by tightening up, leaving or getting fairly aggressive (and tightening)..

all of these things basically move towards playing alot better.

if they tighten, you can steal more blinds and small pots but then the rake becomes more of an issue.

if they leave, then you either have to play very shorthanded (monstrous variance) or sit out/leave.

if they tighten moderately and get aggressive, then they are probably playing fairly well.

i never see this as a problem at full tables. i can have a fantastic session without the players even realizing it.

anybody have thoughts on this... i do like shorthanded because more action per hour and suits my aggressive nature.
