Top pair, out of position against a superdonk
Prima $.50/1.00 NL
Hero is SB (~$40) Villain is a super-donk-LAG with ~$100 who has been giving up chips, luckboxing them back, and giving them back again. UTG folds, Villain-douche raises to $3, MP folds, LP folds, button folds, Hero calls in SB with Jh 9d, BB calls. Flop ($9): 5s 9h 7d Hero checks. BB checks. LAG douche bets $5. Hero raises to $10. BB folds. Villain scum calls $5. Turn ($29): 5h. Hero bets $10. Villain raises to $20. Hero calls $10. River ($69): 2s. Hero checks. Villain bets $4. Hero calls. ---- thoughts appreciated. slay away! results to come. |

Re: Top pair, out of position against a superdonk
granted he's a superdonk, but i'd suggest finding a better spot to get his chips.
a marginal hand completely out of position facing a preflop raise is not a good situation to be in, especially when you've only got 40BB. |

I fold preflop. I'm not playing J9os OOP, no matter who the villain is.

Re: Top pair, out of position against a superdonk
I don't like the call PF. You are OOP with a pretty weak hand. You can argue a call on the button, but in the SB, I fold. You can stack villan later. Also, you do realize that you have 40BBs right? Reload to take all of villan's chips.
I don't like the mini-c/r. It accomlishes little- Either lead or c/r bigger. I think I like leading better. Either push or fold the turn- I think I like pushing better. You are committed in this pot with TPWK. You Botched PF and flop IMO. |
