Overs
I think they're called overs? The people here call them overbuttons. Basically, if everyone in the hand has them, on the next betting street the stakes double.
Have there been strategy posts discussing this? I can't find any. PPs go up in value and drawing hands go down in value. I'm wondering if it would be profitable to play any two for one bet PF if you're playing against poor opposition. |

Re: Overs
I believe the topic was addressed in one of the poker essays books. The answer was, it depends.

Re: Overs
Meh, I don't really want to buy an entire book about it. Is any of it online anywhere? No posts?

Re: Overs
Well it would be pretty much the same strategy as mini blinds. So raising with marginal hands PF is usually a bad play. Your implied odds go way up so I would imagine the game starts to play a little more like a PL game.

Re: Overs
What's the strategy with mini-blinds? In the game I play in, nearly everyone has an overbutton.

Re: Overs
The strategy in Mason's essay relates to deciding when to take the overs buttons based on the types of players that have already opted to do so. Forget the gist of it, I'll look it up when I get home if no one beats me to it.
