PT autorate
I'm trying to autorate a quite big postgresql database (400k hands) It always freezes after a short time and doesn't seem to move on. How long do you think it can be frozen and still continue. I have a kickass computer (2gb ddr ram, 3.6ghz P4 etc)
Now it's been frozen for 2h straight. What to do? |

Re: PT autorate
I suppose I should give a serious answer too...
If you have an nVidia graphics card, the nView desktop manager drivers causes the program to freeze soon after beginning autorate. If that's the case, click 'disable' on the desktop manager (accessible from the driver window), restart, and it should work. Other than that I have no idea. Have you tried the Poker Tracker forum? BTW, an excellent way to see if the program has truly frozen is to use administrative tools > performance in Windows XP. Look at the graph for processor %. It should be at around 50% (for the newer processors), and if then line stays fairly level for more than a minute, the program has frozen. If there are noticable significant dips, it is still calculating, and everything is fine. Peaks are irrelevant as other program activity causes those... Finally, you COULD stop using the crutch of datamining/autorating and learn how to play poker. |

Re: PT autorate
You are a God. Thank you, the taskmanager thing solved it out.
