Re: My first day in NL1000, a QJs hand
Plan for the rest of the hand? And was it good to bet the flop?

Re: My first day in NL1000, a QJs hand
If there is no established play so far (i.e. how you regularily play your monsters vs other hands), then I prefer to let an aggressive button bet and then check-raise him to pick up bluff money. This also saves money in the rare instance that SB was sandbagging a monster.

And was it good to bet the flop? [/ QUOTE ] I dunno, depends, but if you're going to bet out, I definitely think you should bet less, something like 40%-70% pot. This is a pretty dry, drawless flop. Betting a smaller amount has the same desirable effects in terms of hand protection without putting as much money at risk. |
