Default PreFlop Fold To Reraise....Bad Play?

Had these two hands happen almost back to back. The second hand makes me wonder if the first hand was bad play on my part. What do you guys think about these two. Any help or comments are much appreciated!!

25/50 cent tables on PP, not much known about my opponents, only my first or second orbit.

dont raise Mid PP's you're almost always going to go up against overcards on the flop.

id fold to the reraise.

Hand 1: open-raising a small pair in this position isn't a disaster... You have to let go on the flop though.

Hand 2: raising 77 UTG is a bit much... I'd just limp here. Nice check-raise bluff on the flop. I'd just bet out, but your line worked fine I guess.
