Default $100 NL Jacks OOP on K-K-8 board.

Playing 8 handed, 1 limp, folded to me in the SB with JJ (suits not important.) I make it $6. BB folds, limper calls. Effective stacks $100. The limper lost a stack where he got all in with a flush draw + gutshot versus a higher flush draw about ten minutes ago. He seems pretty solid.

(12$ in the pot)
Flop comes K-K-8 rainbow. I bet 8, he calls.

($28 in the pot)
Turn comes another K.

What the best way to maximize value here? Check/call, checkraise, or bet? I think I stop betting on the turn too often in these situations and what to hear what 2+2 has to say.

What position did he limp in?

Anyway, one limper, you pump it to 6 bucks. i like strong raises in the blinds where you'll be OOP, but this seems a bit big.

You've absolutely represented slick, with PF raise and flop bet. Now heres the thing. If he limped in EP and could have AA or QQ, you'll get him to fold with some betting. However you'll also fold 99, 77 type of hands that will bluff.

That being said, i prob check turn. This also gives you some pot control, you hate to bet and get miniraised.

A 1/2 pot bet about $15 seems right.

If he's solid, then after your pfr and flop bet, and looking at that flop, he's pretty much on 88 or KQ, right? His limp from MP all but rules out AA-JJ/AK, and calling the raise screams PP looking for a set. He wouldn't stick with you on the flop if he didn't hit it, would he?

So in the likely event that you're ahead, he probably calls you down for a reasonable value bet. 1/2 pot?

Just out of curiosity, what do you do if he pushes?

C/C turn, lead river. A turn lead looks very strong and I expect to fold out medium PP:s etc. A medium PP might bet though if you check and represent A Q or the like. I seriously doubt he'll fold anything that beats you.

I checked turn, Villain checked behind. River card was an extremely ugly A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I went ahead and bet $15 anyway, and he took his time, but ultimately folded. He must've had a medium PP.
